Chairman of the House of Representatives, authorized representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region, Igor Sergeenko, inspected the progress of the harvest at agricultural enterprises during a working trip to the Miory district.
Together with the head of the district, Alexander Yarokhnovich, the Chairman of the House of Representatives, the authorized representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region, visited a number of farms: PUPKS "Miorsky", UP "Cheressy" and OAO "Uzmensky Krai".
The Speaker emphasized that the agrarians of Miory region should make a significant contribution to the common harvest of the Vitebsk region and the whole country and prove that the district was not entrusted with the right to host the festival-fair of rural workers in vain.
As of the morning of July 28, winter barley has been harvested from 98% of the area in the district, and winter rapeseed – from 96.9%. The last hectares are being harvested at OAO "Uzmensky Krai", KSUP "Povyatie-Agro" and PUPKS "Miorsky". A number of farms have started harvesting spring barley, with a yield of 25 centners per hectare. Winter wheat is being massively threshed, yielding an average of 31.7 centners per round. 43 harvesters are in operation.
Feed preparation is continuing in parallel. Today, farms in the district have an average of 14.47 centners of feed units per conventional head. Miory Rayagorservice has twice as much. If necessary, both forage harvesters and grain harvesters are transferred to assist other agricultural enterprises. All breakdowns are eliminated in the field whenever possible.
Commenting on the harvesting progress, Igor Sergeenko noted that all shortcomings previously identified by the Committee for State Control of the region have been eliminated. Forage harvesters and grain drying complexes are 100% ready to receive the new harvest. Agrarians are adapting to weather conditions and catching every favorable hour.
"The district is far from occupying leading positions in the region. Nevertheless, everything has been done for the organization and conduct of the harvest," emphasized Igor Petrovich.
