155th anniversary of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Uzmeny!
Today, a celebration dedicated to a significant date - the 155th anniversary of the consecration of the local church - took place in the agro-town of Uzmeny.
The episcopal cathedral service was led by Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoye.
Parishioners met the bishop at the church walls according to the good Orthodox tradition - with bread, salt, and flowers.
The celebration was attended by the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Valery Drabo and the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Alexander Zhuk, who congratulated the faithful on behalf of the district leadership.
