Митинг-реквием «Там, где память, там слеза», посвященный 84-й годовщине расстрела нацистами 3 800 жителей еврейской национальности, прошел в Дисне.

The commemorative requiem rally "Where There Is Memory, There Is a Tear", dedicated to the 84th anniversary of the Nazi shooting of 3,800 residents of Jewish nationality, took place in Dysne.

The event was attended by district leadership, members of the labor collectives of Dysna, schoolchildren, local residents, as well as representatives of P. Masherov State University and the Polotsk Cadet School. The date of June 14, 1942, entered the history of Dysna as a tragic day, noted Valery Drabo, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies. The Dysna ghetto was liquidated here. Crimes such as genocide are not subject to a statute of limitations. These crimes cannot be justified or forgotten, emphasized Valery Anatolyevich. The fact that the war did not end in May 1945 was noted by Valentina Bogatyryova, Rector of P. Masherov State University. She spoke about attempts to rewrite history. And today, serious tectonic shifts are occurring around Belarus. Our task is to pass on the historical truth to the younger generation.
