From May 25 to June 5, 2026, the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate is conducting a special series of events "Attention – Children!", and on May 29, 2026, the Unified Day of Road Traffic Safety will be held under the slogan "Children on the road – we are responsible for them!".

The main objective of this event is the prevention and reduction of child road traffic injuries.

The preventive campaign aims to draw widespread attention to the issue of ensuring children's safety on the roads, and to raise the level of responsibility among parents and drivers.

During the period under review in 2026, 10 traffic accidents involving minors occurred within the Vitebsk Region, resulting in injuries to 11 minors.

Throughout the duration of the campaign, vehicles are required to travel with their dipped headlights switched on during daylight hours. Particular attention will be paid to drivers' compliance with speed limits, regulations regarding pedestrian crossings, transport stops, and courtyards.
