On May 9, celebratory events dedicated to Victory Day were held in the city of Miory.
A prayer service was held at the chapel on the Square of Remembrance of Fallen Fighters for the fallen soldiers. Representatives of the city's workforce, security agencies, district public associations, students and working youth, survivors of fascist concentration camps, labor veterans, and city residents took part in the solemn ceremony, laying flowers and wreaths at the foot of the mass grave and the "Black Tulip" memorial sign.
Valeriy Drabo, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, welcomed the participants of the ceremony.
