Unified Information Day: 'Chernobyl: From Recovery to Sustainable Development'

As part of the Unified Information Day, employees of the Republican Organization of the Public Association "Chernobyl" met with Natalya Brodnitskaya, Head of the Administrative Department of the Miory District Executive Committee. She recalled that following the Chernobyl disaster, 70% of the radioactive emissions fell on Belarus: a quarter of the territory became uninhabitable, one-fifth of the population was in the risk zone, and the damage was estimated at 32 annual budgets of the republic for 1985.
