Orthodox Christians of the Miory district celebrated the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.
A festive liturgical service and the rite of the Great Blessing of Water were held in the Church of the Relic of the Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos in Vlachernae in Miory. The service was conducted and the water blessed by the Dean of the Miory Deanery, Viktor Vabishchevich.
In accordance with established tradition, on the shores of the Obsterne and Miory Lakes, at St. John's Spring, a blessing of the water and immersion pools took place for subsequent immersion by all those wishing to participate. Duty posts for rescuers and medical personnel have been organized near the pools, along with tents for changing clothes and hot tea.
