On Mother's Day, 11 women from the Vitebsk region were awarded the Order of Mother, and 25 received the Regional Executive Committee award named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko.

Marina Demyanova: “It is important that the state appreciates our efforts to strengthen family values”

– I work as a director at the model avant-garde fashion theater of the Miory Culture Center. Today is an emotional day: I have been awarded the prize of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko. Together with my husband Alexander, we are raising three children. They say a happy woman grows wings. My wings are my family, the health and happiness of my children. How I am as a mother will be judged by what my children become. And they are doing wonderfully: the youngest, Polina, is an athlete and has represented the Vitebsk Region team in athletics for two years. The eldest son, Pavel, is doing well in his studies and plans to pursue a career as a programmer. The middle son, Yevgeny, is drawn to the stage. Both sons have graduated from a music school. It is important that the state appreciates our efforts to strengthen family values and support children’s development.
