Unified Greening Day and the "Give the Forest New Life" campaign are being held in the Vitebsk region.
Residents of the Miory District participated in the event, led by the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, Valery Drabo.
Representatives of work collectives from the departments of the District Executive Committee, the Inspection of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the Housing and Utilities Enterprise, the Miory District Forestry Enterprise, the forestry management, and LLC "Metal Rolling Company" established a forest-park zone on public lands along Road R-14 near Tsvetaeva Street in Miory. A total of 300 pine trees were planted.
Everyone should take part in improving and greening their native region, as the removal of green spaces has become a concern in recent years. Meanwhile, planting and nurturing a forest is a significantly more labor-intensive and lengthy process, notes Alexander Voievodov, Chief Specialist at the Inspection of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. "We will plant additional trees as necessary to ensure they provide aesthetic pleasure and practical benefits."
