Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Horlov made a working visit to the Miory region.
He visited several agricultural enterprises, reviewed the progress of the harvest, and emphasized that farmers in the Vitebsk Region are working under challenging conditions.
The first stop on the route was the "Povetye" branch, where Yuri Gorlov presented a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to tractor operator Yuri Mutor. In the Chemery locality, winter wheat was being harvested, with yields reaching 35 centners per hectare. The Head of the Miory District, Alexander Yarokhnovich, reported that by morning, a total of 458 hectares of grain crops had been harvested at the enterprise, yielding 1,352 tons in total. The agricultural enterprise has also harvested 231 hectares of rapeseed, amounting to 238 tons.
The Minister noted that the use of tracked combines is justified under conditions of high soil moisture, but such situations should be prevented in the future. He also emphasized that agricultural workers in the Vitebsk Region should use deep tillage equipment, in line with directives from the Head of State.
