Today, a traditional celebration of the Icon of the Mother of God "Odigitria" took place in the town of Disna.
The feast-day service was presided over by Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe.
A large number of pilgrims gathered near the Church of the Ascension of Christ to venerate the miraculous icon of the 16th century. The procession went from the Church of the Resurrection of Christ to the church dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God "Hodegetria", where the prayer service was held. Throughout the entire route, parishioners and pilgrims made every effort to touch and pass under the miraculous relic.
