On July 12, Oleg Dubov, Head of the Oleninsky Municipal District of the Tver Region of the Russian Federation, presented an exclusive copy of the front-line newspaper "For a Free Belarus" dated May 1, 1942, to the delegation of the Miory District.
A week ago, search teams in the Rzhev district recovered the remains of an aircraft that was supposed to deliver a print run of this newspaper to the residents of the Vitebsk Region, which was still occupied at the time.
And now, 83 years later, the newspaper will be delivered to its intended destination.
