Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk Region Ihor Serhiyenko is visiting the Miory District on a working trip
The focus is on the progress of harvesting grass fodder.
Igor Petrovich is reviewing the organization of fodder harvesting for cattle. He is accompanied by the Head of the Miory District, Alexander Yarokhnovich.
The first stop on the route is JSC "Lyubinovo". The head of JSC "Lyubinovo", Vasily Efimov, assured: fodder supplies will be secured! All resources of the farm are dedicated to fodder harvesting. Two feed choppers, two rakes, and six transport units are in operation, including those attracted from other organizations. 446 hectares have been mowed, which accounts for 60 percent.
2,933 tons of haylage have been harvested, amounting to 7.14 tons of feed units per head. This exceeds the district average. The completion of the first cut of grass is planned within 10 to 12 days.
Igor Sergeenko also inquired about the technology for constructing haylage trenches, the rearing conditions for growing calves, and equipment maintenance.
The second stop on the route is SUP "Cheresy". The delegation visited a field where hay is being harvested. A MAZ truck, four PIM forage harvesters, three mowers, and two balers are in operation.
Hay is being baled into rolls, as the stretch-film wrapping technology would entail additional costs. In this instance, such expenses are deemed unjustified.
Igor Petrovich also inquired about the overall operational status of the farm.
Director Oleg Yanukovich reported that the agricultural enterprise is sustaining its financial and economic activities.
