During the meeting of the district leadership with clergy of churches in the Miory district, and at the session of the Commission for Assistance in Controlling Compliance with Legislation on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations, the results of their re-registration were reviewed.
Oksana Ashurko, Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, noted that 22 religious organizations have completed the procedure in the Miory district, while decisions are still pending for five others.
Compliance with sanitary standards and fire safety legislation in places of worship was also reviewed.
Several issues raised by clergy members have been placed under control, and relevant instructions have been issued to the appropriate departments.
