A district athletics relay race was held in Miory on the eve of the Victory Day celebrations.
On the eve of the Victory Day celebrations, a district athletics relay race among students of educational institutions and a sports event titled "Miory Run" among physical culture clubs of organizations in the Miory District were held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
The following students participated in the district athletics relay race: students of the State Educational Institution "Miory Secondary School No. 2 named after N.G. Izvarin", the State Educational Institution "Miory Secondary School No. 3 named after Hero of the Soviet Union E.A. Tomko", the State Educational Institution "Disna Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.A. Kuzmin", the State Educational Institution "Povyatskaya Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union V.A. Babichev", the State Educational Institution "Uzmenskaya Basic School", and the State Educational Institution "Chepkouskaya Secondary School".
Based on the competition results for children born in 2012–2013, the rankings were as follows: 1st place – State Educational Institution "Disna Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.A. Kuzmin", 2nd place – State Educational Institution "Miory Secondary School No. 2 named after N.G. Izvarin", 3rd place – State Educational Institution "Uzmenskaya Basic School".
Based on the competition results for children born in 2008–2009, the rankings were as follows: 1st place – Team No. 1 of State Educational Institution "Disna Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.A. Kuzmin", 2nd place – State Educational Institution "Miory Secondary School No. 3 named after Hero of the Soviet Union E.A. Tomko", 3rd place – Team No. 2 of State Educational Institution "Disna Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.A. Kuzmin".
More than 70 representatives from 22 organizations, enterprises, and institutions of the district participated in the district sports event "Miory Run".
Based on the competition results, the rankings were distributed as follows:
among men: 1st place – Igor Khodasevich (Miory District Executive Committee), 2nd place – Andrey Moroz (State Forestry Enterprise "Disna Leskhoz"), 3rd place – Igor Yanukovich (Miory District Electricity Networks).
among women: 1st place – Anastasia Gretskaya (Limited Liability Company "Metalloprokatnaya Kompaniya"), 2nd place – Yevgeniya Bogovich (Culture Sector of the Miory District Executive Committee), 3rd place – Marina Okhotsinskaya (State Healthcare Institution "Miory Central District Hospital").
All participants of the run were awarded commemorative medals.
