A nationwide voluntary campaign "Let's Restore Forests Together" was held in a forest near Chepuki, within the Novopogost Forest District.
The event was attended by the district head Sergey Semyonichyov, the management of the Disna Forestry Enterprise and the Novopogost Forest District, staff members of the District Executive Committee departments, active members of the regional branch of the OO "BRSM", representatives of the veterans' organization, and personnel from various work collectives in the district.
Young saplings of spruce, pine, and birch were planted on the designated plot.
In total, the Disna Forestry Enterprise plans to plant 140 hectares of forest in 2025.
When asked why participation in such an event is important, the Chief Forester of the Disna Forestry Enterprise, Alexander Tereshko, replied: I consider it the duty of every citizen. The forest is a national asset. This is not merely tree planting; it is a contribution to the future and to the ecological security of our country. It demonstrates respect for nature and concern for future generations.
The event will continue until April 12.
