Solemn rallies dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were held in the city of Miory.
Representatives of labor collectives and law enforcement agencies, public associations, and students from schools in the city of Miory gathered at the Square of Memory of Fallen Fighters for a solemn rally.
Event participants laid flowers and wreaths at the foot of the mass grave and the "Black Tulip" memorial obelisk, as well as at the memorial sign honoring the liberators of Miory from German-fascist invaders.
Following established tradition, students and young workers paid tribute at the memorial sign dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Yegor Andreyevich Tomko, honoring the renowned fellow townsman.
