The meeting of the Presidium of the Miory District Council of Deputies on the issue of developing agro-ecotourism in the Miory District was held on October 11.
The presidium meeting was held under the chairmanship of Valery Drabo, Chairman of the Miory District Council of Deputies.
The meeting was attended by Sergey Semyonychev, Chairman of the Miory District Executive Committee, members of the district commission involved in conducting a comprehensive objective assessment and preparing agro-ecotourism facilities, chairmen of primary-level Councils of Deputies, and some owners of agro-ecofarms.
Julia Blazhevich, chief specialist of the Sports and Tourism Sector of the District Executive Committee, presented information on the development of agro-ecotourism in the Miory District. She briefed the attendees on the operations of existing agro-ecofarms and the prospects for further development of agro-ecotourism in the district.
Natalya Lisichenko, Head of the Miory District Sector of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Social Protection Fund of the Republic of Belarus, briefed the attendees on upcoming changes to legislation in the field of agro-ecotourism.
Proposals from interested parties regarding problems and prospects for further development of tourism infrastructure in the district, as well as the effective use of tourism potential, were heard.
In order to improve work on the development of agro-ecotourism in the Miory District, the Presidium of the Miory District Council of Deputies adopted a corresponding resolution.
