Сергей Мелешкин с рабочим визитом посетил Миорский район

Sergey Meleshkin paid a working visit to the Miory District.

During a visit to the region, Member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Vitebsk Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Sergey Meleshkin held a personal reception of citizens at the Turka Rural Executive Committee and also met with the local population.

Sergey Nikolaevich opened the meeting with the local population by addressing a significant event for Belarusians – the 30th anniversary of the institution of the Presidency of the Republic of Belarus.

Our country is one of the youngest presidential republics among more than 150 states. This institution was established in the Republic of Belarus 30 years ago. Today presents a fitting opportunity to evaluate not only the present but also the past of sovereign Belarus, to realize from what rather unenviable "starting material" it was possible to build an independent and sovereign state oriented toward the future.

"Time itself has demonstrated how wise and justified the decision made by the people proved to be, which contributed to building and developing a strong and independent state with its own traditions and values. Over these years, thanks to the paternal guidance of the Head of State, Belarus and its people have consolidated as a nation and found their historical Homeland. Through care, fairness, and patience, President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko has, by his personal example, shown the entire world what it means to love one's country and people and remain devoted to the Fatherland," the head noted.

The meeting also included questions related to life safety. Sergey Meleshkin urged everyone to remain attentive to personal safety and the safety of their loved ones, and not to overlook recommendations issued by rescuers and other preventive organizations.
