Car rally to places of military glory 'Along the Roads of War – Along the Roads of Victory'
The delegation of the Miory district took part in an automobile rally dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from German fascist invaders.
The patriotic automobile rally along sites of military glory "By the Roads of War – By the Roads of Victory" commenced with a solemn rally and the laying of a memorial capsule containing a message to future generations at the Disna line in the Miory district.
Subsequently, the rally participants arrived in Novopolotsk. A solemn rally was held on the premises of the Polimir enterprise near the memorial sign "Death to Fascism".
The final stop was the "Proryv" Memorial Complex in the Ushachy district, where a rally entitled "No One Is Forgotten, Nothing Is Forgotten" was held. The event was attended by the leadership of the Republic and the Vitebsk Region.
– We honor and cherish the memory of those who did not spare their lives in the struggle for our future. Their heroic deeds will remain in the hearts of each of us as a vital reminder of the necessity to safeguard peace and freedom. May the monument of the "Proryv" Memorial Complex always remind us of historical justice and the courage of the heroes who defended our Motherland against the enemy. May their sacrifices never be forgotten. Eternal memory and gratitude to them for their loyalty and bravery! – noted the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
The organizer and initiator is a patriot of his native land, resident of the city of Disna, Eduard Kazimirovich Tereshko. Among the participants was a delegation from the Pskov Region of the Russian Federation, headed by First Deputy Governor Vera Vasilievna Emelyanova.
