National Campaign "Let's Restore Forests Together!"
In the Miory district, the republican campaign "Let's Restore Forests Together!", dedicated to the Year of Quality, has gained widespread support. The district administration, employees of the district executive committee, youth, and representatives of local organizations joined the campaign. Together as a friendly team, they proceeded to the so-called 95th quarter of the Uzmen Forestry along with foresters. The plot covers an area of 3.2 hectares, where young spruce and pine trees have taken root on the site of a reclaimed quarry from the former airfield.
"If we clear-cut a forest in any area, we must replant it within three years. Even better would be to increase the volumes," notes Elena Konakh, Deputy Director for Ideological Work at the Disna Forestry. "It is important not to miss the agrotechnical deadlines, as warm weather arrived quickly. We need to plant quickly, so we welcome volunteers."
It is encouraging that the land is being cultivated and bringing benefits, note the employees of the land management service.
