Solemn rallies dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus
On February 23, solemn rallies were held in the city of Miary dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus.
Representatives of labor collectives and law enforcement agencies, public organizations, and school students from the city of Miary gathered at the Memorial Square of Fallen Fighters for a solemn rally dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.
Participants of the event laid flowers and wreaths at the foot of a mass grave and the memorial obelisk "Black Tulip", as well as at a memorial monument honoring the warrior-liberators of Miary from German-Fascist invaders.
In accordance with established tradition, students and working youth paid tribute to the renowned fellow townsman at the memorial monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Yegor Andreyevich Tomko.
