The information and educational campaign "Belarus – an energy-efficient country" is taking place from November 8 to 11.
From November 8 to 11, 2023, the Department of Energy Efficiency is holding the republican informational and educational campaign "Belarus – an energy-efficient country" under the slogan "Switch on energy efficiency!". The campaign coincides with the International Day of Energy Conservation, observed annually on November 11.
The campaign is being conducted to implement the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated June 14, 2007 No. 3 "On Priority Directions for Strengthening the Economic Security of the State" and the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated January 8, 2015 No. 239-Z "On Energy Conservation".
The objective of the campaign is to raise public awareness regarding the importance of efficient energy resource utilization, as well as possible methods and approaches to conserving them, including in daily life and household settings. This constitutes a significant measure for improving citizens' well-being and fostering overall economic growth in the country.
Considering that the efficient and rational consumption of energy resources largely depends on the coordinated efforts of all state bodies, institutions, organizations, business communities, public associations, and mass media outlets, the Department of Energy Efficiency invites everyone to join the republican informational and educational campaign "Belarus – an energy-efficient country" and actively participate in raising awareness among staff and the public regarding the importance of energy efficiency and practical methods for conserving energy in households.
