A regional training seminar on animal husbandry was held in the Miory District.
Today, at the MTK "Korpachevo" facility of OAO "Pod'yeltsy", a regional training seminar on livestock farming was held. During the seminar, the following topics were addressed: features of cow feeding during the dry period, technology for thawing colostrum, and administering the first portion to a newborn calf using a drencher.
To improve the survival rate of young livestock, the farm has acquired a heating unit for newborn calves and a colostrum thawer.
The event was attended by Natalia Averyanova, chief specialist in artificial insemination at RUE "Vitebskoe Plemredpriyatie", Aleksandr Lopatin, senior specialist at LDU "Vitebskaya Oblvetlaboratoriya", as well as farm managers, heads of MTF and MTK, chief zootechnicians, and veterinarians.
