On August 10, a traditional celebration of the Icon of the Mother of God "Odigitria" was held in the town of Dysna.
The feast day service was led by Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe.
A large number of pilgrims from various parts of the country gathered at the Church of the Ascension of Christ to venerate the miraculous 16th-century icon.
The religious procession proceeded from the Church of the Resurrection of Christ to the church dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God "Odigitria", where a prayer service was held.
Throughout the entire route, parishioners and pilgrims made every effort to touch the miraculous relic and pass beneath it.
