The memorial rally "We Will Never Forget This Date" took place on June 14 in Dysne.

A memorial rally dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the mass execution of Jews by Nazi occupiers during the Great Patriotic War was held in Disna.

The leadership of the Miory District, representatives of security forces, work collectives, students of the local school, and city residents laid flowers at the foot of the mass grave and observed a minute of silence in memory of those who perished.

June 14, 1942 is one of the bloody pages in the history of Belarus’s smallest town. In late June 1941, Nazi forces occupied Disna. In October, the local Jewish population was confined to a ghetto. In the summer of 1942, fascist executioners shot 3,800 innocent residents there.

Nearby, in mass graves Nos. 5709 and 5706 lie local residents who were executed in Disna by occupying forces on charges of assisting partisans.
