Miory Regional Executive Committee
To congratulate women who have embraced the joy of motherhood on the eve of the New Year, the following officials visited the Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital: Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee; Vyacheslav Durnov, Member of the Supreme Political Council of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee; Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department of Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee; and Valentina Bogatyryova, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" and Rector of P. Mashherov Vitebsk State University.
On that day, 18 mothers with 20 infants received congratulations and gifts. Two residents of the Vitebsk region welcomed twins into their families. Ekaterina Nahaenko, a resident of Vitebsk, radiated happiness as she prepared for discharge with her "royal pair" – son Mikhail and daughter Vasilisa. The Nahaenko family now has three children, with their son Mark growing up at home. The sixth and seventh children joined a family from the Dubrovno District, where Nadezhda Verazumskaya gave birth to twins Vasilisa and Alisa. Dobrynya Mashtarov became a welcome addition to a large family from Vitebsk; his mother, Olga, noted that her five older children had already grown up, making it a great joy for her to hold another baby.
“For each of you, the past year has been memorable and, undoubtedly, the richest in gifts—your children,” Alexander Subbotin told the women. “May the coming 2026 year be equally fruitful. May your little ones always bring you joy and remain healthy. Wishing you health and simple human happiness.”
The head of the regional authorities presented a gift certificate for the purchase of office equipment to the maternity hospital’s chief physician, Elena Leonovich.
As part of the charitable campaign "Our Children", each woman received a valuable gift from the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus". Vyacheslav Durnov, dressed as Ded Moroz, and Valentina Bogatyryova, wearing a Snegurochka costume, served as kindly gift-givers and presented the items to the mothers. The tradition of honoring mothers at the maternity hospital during major holidays will continue, as Valentina Bogatyryova noted, since a New Year miracle takes place here every day.
By the way, the guests were also not left without gifts: the institution presented them with snowflakes bearing New Year greetings.
