The First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vladimir Pertsov took part in the ceremonial meeting of the university council dedicated to the anniversary of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov.
The First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration read out a congratulatory message from the head of state.
– Personally, I wish our university first and foremost to continue being as successful as it is today, maintaining its leading position among all higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus, which is currently the case, – Vladimir Pertsov noted. – Each time I visit here, I am glad to observe the excellent conditions under which students study, as well as the sports facilities, accommodation, leisure areas, and venues for amateur arts that are available on campus.
The First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration emphasized that the university successfully handles the export of services, as evidenced by the large number of foreign students studying here.
– It is also important that foreign students feel comfortable, as if at home, receive their education, immerse themselves in Belarusian culture and our national mindset, and, upon returning to their home countries, will serve as ambassadors of our ideas and reliable partners in business, political relations, and humanitarian ties, – Vladimir Pertsov stated.
During the ceremonial meeting of the university council, the Rector of VSU Valentina Bogatyryova presented the distinguished alumnus with the university badge “For Distinction”.
Celebratory events dedicated to the 115th anniversary of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov are taking place these days in the regional center.
The program for the second day includes an open lecture by the Scientific Director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPRE RAS), Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V. Oprekinov, and Doctor of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FGUN IPRE RAS), Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor A. Shmatko.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda took part in the work of the dialogue platform held at the university.
The laboratory of technical graphics and methods of teaching drafting was inaugurated in Academic Building No. 4 of VSU.

Wishing the teaching staff and students to develop, maintain the high standards already achieved by the university, and expand with new majors, faculties, interesting projects, and scientific research, the head of the regional authority addressed the collective.
“Vitebsk State University plays a significant role in helping us address our personnel needs. New majors are being introduced here. And looking at the display board with photographs of honorary graduates, one can understand what kind of professionals are forged within these walls,” Alexander Subbotin said. “The students who study here always assist in ideological events, give concerts, and provide support to the agro-industrial complex. There is no need to ask them; they offer their help voluntarily, which makes it invaluable. It is in such an atmosphere of mutual assistance that true citizens and genuine patriots are raised, who are ready to help in any situation.”
During the ceremonial meeting of the university council, VSU Rector Valentina Bogatyryova presented Alexander Subbotin with the university’s breast badge «For Merit» («За адзнаку») in gratitude for his support of all the university’s best initiatives.
