Miory Regional Executive Committee
Guests and participants of the forum were warmly received at Vitebsk Secondary School No. 12 named after L.N. Filipenko.
A major celebration organized by the regional branch of the Belarusian Union of Women crowned the Week of Parental Love, which was filled with charity events and celebrations honoring Mother's Day and Father's Day.
Gifts of the generous autumn, arranged into intricate compositions, not only highlighted the rich imagination of the members of the primary BSUW organizations but also brought good cheer, delighting with a vibrant array of colors and shapes.
Within the framework of the forum, the traditional campaign "Mama's Pies" took place. Delicious baked goods and homemade preserves were presented to the servicemen of the 103rd Airborne Brigade.
The event was attended by families who serve as examples of sincere love and respect: the large Vyalyov family, which has 13 children, and a young family. Addressing them, Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, emphasized:
-- Family is the foundation, the very bedrock upon which every state stands. And if there are more families like yours, our country will become stronger.
It is love that binds families together: both parents' love for their children and children's love for their parents. Young people should not delay having children: it is children's laughter that truly strengthens a family.
The exhibition of dolls submitted to the regional BSUW competition, which ran from August to October 2025, attracted considerable attention.
-- Today is truly a holiday that touches the hearts of all those who care, noted Marina Novitskaya, Chairwoman of the regional BSUW organization. -- The Week of Parental Love began on October 14, Mother's Day, and concludes on the youngest holiday, Father's Day. Today we express our gratitude to those who gave us life, who allow us to feel like children again.
It is symbolic that today we announce the results of our contest to create a doll – the symbol of our organization. All entries were crafted with love and deserve praise. It was not easy for the jury to choose the absolute best, but following the vote, the work by Tatiana Martynovich, a master of folk decorative arts at the Dokshitsy District House of Crafts, emerged victorious.
The results of the competition “Women for Food Security of Their Families and Country” were also announced, in which the primary branch of the Belarusian Union of Women at the Regional Center of Psychiatry and Narcology won the Grand Prix.
The Parental Love Week concluded with a festive concert.
