As part of a career guidance session, students from Secondary School No. 44 in Vitebsk, currently attending the school camp “Patriot”, visited the Vitebsk Customs.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the students with the activities of customs authorities, provide them with an understanding of the customs officer profession, and foster a sense of patriotism.
Staff members of the Vitebsk Customs briefed the students on the history of customs service, the key tasks and functions of customs authorities, as well as the qualities and skills required for successful work in the customs field. The students learned about efforts to combat smuggling and other violations of customs legislation, as well as the role of customs in safeguarding the country’s economic security.
The demonstration of technical customs control equipment, including modern scanning systems and equipment for inspecting goods, generated particular interest among the students.
The Vitebsk Customs consistently places special emphasis on career guidance initiatives for young people, aiming to nurture responsible citizens and future defenders of the Fatherland.
