The educational platform brought together approximately 150 participants from across the country – leaders of territorial and primary BRSU organizations, representatives of the country’s leading industrial enterprises, and active members of the Youth Union.
– In the course of our regional BRSU organization’s work, we see how involved everyone is in all social processes of life, ready to defend the honor of our homeland at the most prestigious events. Young people are always at the forefront, in the front ranks of scientific, educational, creative, and production activities. These young people are our present, and the role of leaders in this work is hard to overestimate. This is the force that unites, guides, and helps ensure that the voice of youth sounds brighter and clearer, – noted the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov. – The republican seminar will allow our youth to communicate with like-minded peers, exchange experience, share their practices and achievements, and in the future their ideas will serve as a guide for work.
First Secretary of the BRSU Central Committee Alexander Lukyanov noted that the seminar also provides an opportunity to acquaint newly elected secretaries with the experience of established colleagues, in order to further develop their primary organizations.
– For the leadership of the Central Committee and regional committees, it is very important to take into account the opinion of young people, hear their ideas and proposals when developing strategic plans. One of the initiatives voiced at previous seminars was the implementation of an interactive information system that allows administering the process and maintaining a rating of our activists. Today we are already proud that such an opportunity has existed for several years, and additionally, a smart card, a new membership card, has appeared, – Alexander Lukyanov said. – An important component of the IV seminar program will be visits to advanced primary organizations at the premises of large enterprises in the Vitebsk region and higher education institutions. We have also invited experts who will speak, among other things, about trends currently forming among young people.
The First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, Zhanna Naritsyna, noted that over the course of two days, seminar participants will attend meetings with labor collectives, a youth plein air, a quest-navigation event, as well as theoretical and practical sessions dedicated to organizing the activities of student detachments and youth law-and-order detachments, working in the internet space, and other topics.
Best practices in the implementation of state youth policy were shared by primary BRSM organizations at "Vitebskenergo", the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Railway, "Vitebskoblgaz", and others.
The Secretary of the primary BRSM organization at the Lukoml Thermal Power Plant, Yegor Petrashko, noted that the young employees of the enterprise consistently participate in various events, campaigns, and community service initiatives. The organization comprises more than 200 individuals under the age of 31, with a 100 percent BRSM membership rate.
