The Committee on State Property of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has recorded one of the most successful months for the sale of unused state property assets.
Three unused buildings of the former KIM factory, with a total area of over 13,000 square meters, were sold at auction simultaneously.
The sold properties include a building housing air conditioning systems, a dyeing workshop, and a five-story annex.
The total sale price amounted to nearly half a million rubles.
The buyers are two residents of Vitebsk. In the future, these premises may accommodate either production facilities or public service establishments.
Following the bankruptcy of the garment factory in 2019, this site remained one of the most problematic in the Vitebsk Region. Over the years, private businesses have gradually begun utilizing the premises.
As of today, the only remaining unused asset is the main building, which is currently being offered for sale with an 80 percent price reduction.
Additionally, in April, a property complex belonging to the Vitebsk Center for Standardization and Metrology, located at 23 Tereshkova Street in Vitebsk, was sold for nearly 800,000 rubles.
This transaction marked the highest-value sale at auctions since the beginning of the year.
The sold property complex comprises an administrative and utility building and a material storage facility, with a total area exceeding 2,000 square meters.
The purchaser is a neighboring private enterprise, which intends to utilize the premises to expand its production operations.
In the near term, the Committee has scheduled over 80 auctions for the sale of unused state property assets. Most of these properties are being offered with an initial price set at one base value.
In total, the Committee has conducted 52 successful auctions over the past four months of this year. This has not only generated 2.5 million rubles for the state budget but also facilitated the productive use of previously idle state assets in the development of the Vitebsk Region.
