The Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Vyacheslav Durnov, and the Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Political Party "Belaya Rus", Valentina Bogatyryova, dressed as Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, congratulated 20 mothers and their newborn babies on the upcoming New Year.
– This is how the little ones spend their first days of life: so lively, in a festive New Year atmosphere and with gifts. May the holiday spirit always be in your hearts, and may your children bring you joy, – Vyacheslav Durnov addressed the mothers.
Many gifts were brought to the maternity hospital, which will help mothers care for their children, as well as themselves.
– It is always pleasant to give gifts during the New Year holidays. They lift spirits and bring joy to mothers and babies, – noted Valentina Bogatyryova.
Mothers with their babies also received gifts and congratulations from the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Andrei Lyubimov, the Head of the Main Directorate for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee, Mikhail Vishnevetsky, and representatives of other organizations and institutions in the city.
– As of today, 65% of women giving birth are those who have come to a healthcare facility for their second and third child. This indicates that our people are confident in the future, they are building families and having children because all conditions have been created for this in our country, – noted Elena Leonovich, Chief Physician of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital.
Thus, a resident of Dokshitsy, Ekaterina Vasinkevich, became a mother for the fifth time yesterday. The baby girl was named Victoria. Her younger sister is eagerly awaited at home by 20-year-old Anton, 18-year-old Darya, 8-year-old Karina, and 4-year-old Alexander.
– All my children's birthdays fall in spring and autumn, but this time, for the first time, a girl was born on the eve of the New Year. Now we will celebrate several holidays in winter, – said the large-family mother. – I have given birth in this maternity hospital more than once; there is wonderful staff and good living conditions here. Therefore, I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone!
Elena Matsyushonok from Senno will also celebrate the New Year in the maternity hospital for the first time, but she is not upset about this at all, because, as she says, a child is the best gift for a lifetime.
– Four years ago, I gave birth to my first son, Victor, and on December 27, to my second. I named him Alexander. I am very happy, my mood is excellent, and I feel comfortable here, but I miss home, and my husband and son are eagerly waiting for us, – Elena Matyushonok said.
