The award ceremony for enterprises with exemplary occupational safety organization was held by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
The annual review competition for the best organization of occupational safety work among enterprises and organizations in the production and non-production sectors was held for the 16th time. More than 100 enterprises of the northern region, which had no workplace accidents in 2023, competed for the right to be recognized as the best in the first stage of the contest, organized by city and district executive committees. Twenty-seven organizations advanced to the regional stage, thirteen of which were designated as leaders in establishing appropriate working conditions and enhancing the prestige of labor culture.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, welcomed them.
“Production lives not only on plans and programs. Its vital component is safety and care for the workforce,” noted the head of the region. “This contest offers an opportunity to recognize the best for their contribution to the social development of enterprises and the economy as a whole, and for safeguarding what is most precious – human health and lives.”
The Grand Prix of the regional review competition for the best organization of occupational safety work was awarded to the Polotskvodokanal branch of the Unitary Enterprise Vitebskoblvlvodokanal.
In the "Non-production sector organizations" category, the Vitebsk branch of JSCS "Belarusian Post" took first place; in the "Production sector organizations with up to 100 employees" category – RUE for transportation and supply of liquefied petroleum gases "SG-TRANS"; in the "Production sector organizations with 101 to 500 employees" category – the branch "Agricultural Production Mazalovogaz" of PRUE "Vitebskoblgaz"; in the "Production sector organizations with over 500 employees" category – the branch "Orsha Main Gas Pipeline Directorate" of OJSC "Gazprom transgaz Belarus".
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee also presented letters of appreciation for a significant contribution to the implementation of the main directions of state policy in the field of occupational safety, preservation of workers' health, and the organization of safe labor.
