Miory Regional Executive Committee
Today, October 14, a family-type children's home was opened in Polotsk. Representatives of regional and local authorities, public organizations, as well as all those involved in the implementation of this project, took part in this significant event.
This is the second family-type children's home in the district (the first was opened in 2015 in the agrotown of Zhernoseki). The spacious two-story cottage is fully equipped. It features several bedrooms, as well as a cozy living room and kitchen. The property includes an inner courtyard and a spacious outdoor area that accommodates a communal recreation zone, a playground, as well as space for a vegetable garden and orchard. Parent-educator Anna Vladimirovna Vlasova is confident that all children joining the family will find it comfortable growing up here. Her assessment is well-founded: she has served as an adoptive parent in the Education Department of the Polotsk District Executive Committee since 2006. Over this period, she has raised 14 adoptive children. She is consistently supported by her husband, Ivan Sergeevich, an electrician at JSC Naftan.
Currently, their family is raising one biological son and three adopted sons. Recently, their friendly group was joined by three more children. Anna Vladimirovna notes that the eldest children, Artem and Kirill, are both 14 years old, while the youngest, Emilia, is three years old:
— Family-type children's homes represent a professional form of upbringing and care for children who have been left without parental care. For our part, we will do everything possible so that their childhood passes in a friendly family environment, and the children grow up to be good people and true patriots.
The Chairman of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, Igor Markovich, congratulated adoptive parents Anna and Ivan Vlasov on their housewarming. He emphasized that children are the main wealth of our country. Therefore, measures are consistently being taken in Belarus aimed at supporting and comprehensively developing the younger generation. Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Dmitry Demidov, underscored the role of parents in the family of each child:
— It is significant that the family received the keys to the house on such a date — Mother's Day. A wide range of initiatives are being implemented in Belarus, and many kind deeds are being carried out so that every child grows up in a supportive environment and has the opportunity to learn and develop. This remains an unwavering priority of the Head of State and our social policy. Adoptive parents play a special role in this endeavor, as they are willing to generously share their care and love with children deprived of these essential elements for various reasons. Fortunately, there are many such individuals in our country and in our region. And on the eve of Mother's Day, we sincerely extend our words of gratitude to them for their dedication and kind hearts.
