Miory Regional Executive Committee
A branch of the Regional Clinical Center of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology has opened following reconstruction in the agro-town of Babichichi, Vitebsk District.
– The building of the former nursing hospital has been given a second life through its reorganization into the Regional Clinical Center of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology. Its opening on the eve of the Day of National Unity once again proves that only together can we achieve something worthwhile, – emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin. – Its convenient location in a scenic area near the city will allow patients to comfortably receive necessary services and undergo treatment. At present, the facility has been modernized internally; the next stage will involve facade finishing, landscaping of the territory, as well as further equipping it with high-tech equipment. I am confident that the center will become one of the leading facilities not only in the region, but also in the country.
The Head of the Main Department of Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee Mikhail Vishnevetsky noted that two years ago a decision was made to organize inpatient care for patients in one location, since the center's services were previously scattered across the city.
– The dermatovenereology center is the only one in the Vitebsk Region. Day hospitals remain in Orsha, Polotsk, and Novopolotsk, – noted Mikhail Vishnevetsky. – In Babichichi, inpatient care has been organized for individuals requiring treatment and 24/7 monitoring. Adequate conditions have been created here both for patient stays and for medical staff work.
Renovations have been carried out in the building, and furniture and equipment for the 1st and 2nd dermatovenereological departments have been purchased at a cost of approximately 1 million rubles. A total of 80 beds have been allocated for patient accommodation, including 10 pediatric beds. A playroom, shower, restroom, and staff room have been equipped.
– This is a long-awaited gift, – emphasized the chief physician of the Regional Clinical Center of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology Nana Nadirashvili. – This is the first large building where all services are gathered in one place: the 1st and 2nd dermatovenereology departments, along with three major centralized laboratories (serological, clinical-diagnostic, and microbiological) that previously relocated here, as well as a centralized sterilization department and a medical rehabilitation department. Our department and specialists, who are in demand not only here but also abroad, will also be located here.
