One third of all export deliveries from the Vitebsk region are sent to Russia.

Despite the fact that the Vitebsk Region conducted foreign trade operations with nearly 110 countries of the world last year, the Russian Federation was and remains a strategic partner.

As Valentina Glebko, head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Economy Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, told sb.by, exports of goods to the Russian Federation continue to grow:

– The share of the Russian Federation in the region’s export volume is 32.3 percent. The growth rate exceeds 116 percent. Food deliveries have increased by almost a quarter. Today, they account for almost 27 percent of the total volume of goods exported to the Russian Federation.

Thanks to new cooperation agreements with Russian regions and a constantly expanding geographic reach, industrial enterprises of the Vitebsk Region are concluding promising long-term contracts with foreign partners from the neighboring country and already hold a solid order portfolio for 2023.
