Miory Regional Executive Committee

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, participated in the city cleanup day held in Vitebsk.

The main objective of the event is the landscaping and tidying up of the territory in the regional center, where next week the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, the celebrations marking the 1050th anniversary of the city, and subsequently the International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held.

The head of the region worked at one of the venues that will host these landmark events for the Vitebsk region – the "Vitebsk" hotel. Final preparations are currently underway here ahead of the arrival of numerous guests.

– The large-scale transformation of the regional center is associated with the forum of regions, the international festival, and the jubilee of Vitebsk. For residents, the main celebration is City Day, marking its 1050th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of liberation. As a resident of Vitebsk, I also decided to take part in preparing my native city for the holiday, – noted Alexander Subbotin.

The head of the region, together with the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Gennady Sabynich, and heads of local administrations, planted decorative maple trees and mountain pines, which have enhanced the area around the hotel. The building has undergone a noticeable transformation following extensive renovations. While preserving its distinctive architectural appearance, it has been completely updated internally and now complies with modern standards and requirements.

As a result of the reconstruction, the parking area has been expanded, including space for tourist transport, an original canopy has been installed at the building's drop-off zone, and the guest reception and registration area has been modernized.

The guest rooms have been made more comfortable, and studio suites have been introduced, each featuring a compact kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom.

A sports complex equipped with fitness machines, a billiard room, and a lounge area has been set up on the third floor. The conference hall and café have also been updated. Alexander Subbotin inspected the hotel and expressed confidence that it will be well-received by guests of Vitebsk.

Incidentally, the reconstruction is scheduled to continue after the forum and festival. The second phase includes equipping a spa salon on the basement level. Other interesting concepts are also being considered.
