A clear system for organizing and conducting occupational health and safety measures in the Vitebsk Region contributes to reducing the level of injuries and fatalities

Thanks to coordinated joint efforts, a positive result was achieved in 2023 in reducing workplace injuries in organizations of the Vitebsk Region. The total number of people injured at work decreased by 7 percent.

Preventive measures taken have prevented an increase in cases of injuries with severe consequences and fatal outcomes.

A series of organizational and practical measures contributed to a reduction in workplace injuries in organizations of communal ownership, which amounted to 20 percent.

The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has approved a Comprehensive Set of Measures to strengthen production-technological, executive, and labor discipline, as well as the safety of production activities in organizations of the Vitebsk Region for 2024, and has defined a number of practical initiatives aimed at further consolidating the positive trend toward eliminating all instances of workplace injuries and citizen fatalities from external controllable causes.
