A new general practitioner clinic was opened today in the densely populated Bilevo microdistrict in Vitebsk.
The opening of this facility serves as a genuine New Year gift for all residents of the growing microdistrict. More than 27,000 people will receive medical care at the clinic. Consultations will be conducted by general practitioners, as well as specialists including a surgeon, a traumatologist, a gynecologist, an otolaryngologist, and an ophthalmologist. Necessary medical procedures, ultrasound diagnostics, and electrocardiograms (ECG) will be performed on-site. Blood sampling will also be carried out here, with samples promptly delivered to the laboratory of Branch No. 3 of the Vitebsk City Central Polyclinic (VCCP), to which the new clinic is affiliated. The clinic features barrier-free access for persons with disabilities, including tactile paving, directional signs, and labels duplicated in Braille.
"Experienced doctors will conduct consultations at the clinic, there are sufficient staff members, and we expect young specialists to join us next year," said Zhanna Liber, head of Branch No. 3 of the VCCP.
She noted that modern equipment was procured for the clinic. The ophthalmology office is equipped with a refractometer, a slit lamp, and a perimeter for visual field testing. An operating table and a shadowless lamp have been installed for surgical interventions. Such equipment is capable of operating in autonomous mode. The examination room features an electrically adjustable gynecological chair with a control panel. A high-end ultrasound scanner has been acquired for the diagnostic imaging room. The ECG room is fitted with a Cardian Holter monitoring system, a spirometer, and an electrocardiograph.
During the opening of this important social facility, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin noted that it constitutes a substantial addition to the gifts for the residents of Vitebsk, particularly those living in the Bilevo microdistrict. "The premises feature spacious offices and modern equipment. I am confident this will contribute to improving our quality of life, making it better and more positive," the regional head stated.
Patients will be able to visit the new clinic for consultations starting January 8.
