Construction of a large multi-brand engineering manufacturing plant is planned in the Vitebsk region, announced Andrei Sidorov, General Director of CHUP "Vitstroytechmash".

"Vitstroytechmash" is a young, actively developing, and self-sufficient enterprise. It is located in the regional center and is widely known as "Engineering Company 'Vitebskie Pod'emniki'", which today forms part of a holding company. In less than 20 years, the Vitebsk engineering team has progressed from a small service facility specializing in the repair of lifting equipment to a major manufacturer of special machinery, employing approximately 330 people today.

The secret of success lies in the desire to keep pace with the times and adapt to customer needs. The available modern equipment enables the production of a wide range of municipal and special-purpose machinery for construction and installation works, as well as for servicing urban electric transport and power grids: hydraulic boom lifts with lifting heights from 12 to 56 meters, mobile cranes with lifting capacities from 16 to 32 tons, crane-manipulators, garbage trucks, and drilling rigs. Recently, we manufactured a combined fire engine based on a full-wheel-drive KAMAZ chassis, – stated Andrei Sidorov. – Our production capacity exceeds 4,000 units of machinery and equipment. We are capable of fulfilling any assignments within our sector, from design and development through to conducting required testing and launching products onto the assembly line.

Vitstroytechmash demonstrates strong economic indicators: production volumes this year have increased by 60% compared to the same period in 2022, and wages have risen by more than a third.

Over 10,000 sq. m of additional production space has been commissioned. More than $5 million has been spent on the purchase of highly efficient technological equipment. Dozens of jobs have been created. We actively participate in numerous state programs and the implementation of social projects, including supporting kindergartens and schools. We also cooperate with leading higher education institutions in Belarus and Russia to develop innovative machinery through joint research and development efforts, including those related to import substitution, – noted the General Director. – We place significant emphasis on career guidance: given current realities, it is necessary to begin preparing future specialists already during their school years. Therefore, my colleagues and I are frequent guests at educational institutions, organizing enterprise tours to help them understand the work performed by machine-building professionals across various specializations.

CHUP "Vitstroytechmash" is widely recognized beyond Belarus's borders and serves as a corporate partner to leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in the CIS: MAZ, KAMAZ, Ural, GAZ, UAZ. Its products are in demand in Russia, Central Asian countries, and other regions.

We do not intend to rest on our achievements. Specifically, we plan to soon commence construction of a multi-brand machine-building plant within the territory of the SEZ "Vitebsk". Approximately 300 new jobs will be created there, along with several production lines for the manufacture of advanced hydraulic systems, vans, and lifting equipment (overhead, gantry, tower, and cantilever cranes). The workshops will cover an area of over 20,000 sq. m, – emphasized Andrey Sidarov. – The sanctions imposed on Belarus have not impacted the enterprise's operations, as we are accustomed to maintaining technological independence. For example, our lifts currently consist of only 8% imported components. However, this is not the final goal: we are continuously developing our production capabilities to eliminate the need to procure anything abroad. Moreover, restrictions imposed by the West have reduced competition in our established market, thereby contributing to an increase in orders and an expansion of their geographical scope.
