The winner was Vladislav Uholev, a third-year student of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics at VSTU.

Events such as "Student of the Year" not only give young people the opportunity to make themselves known, but also allow us to see talented, bright, ambitious young people who are moving only forward! The emotions that participants will experience today, they will carry through their entire lives."
The venue for the competition was the Vitebsk State University named after P. Mashcherov. Thirteen participants from six higher education institutions in the region competed for the title of best student in Vitebsk Region and the right to represent the northern region in the finals. They all excel in their studies and can boast of achievements in science, arts, sports, and much more.
Three students represented Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk. Among them is Polina Krol, a third-year student of the Faculty of Finance and Economics, a participant in the 2022 regional gubernatorial ball, laureate of the annual special award "Krynitsa Viedau" in the nomination "Talent of the Year" as part of the hosting team "Konferans", as well as Nikita Mironovich, a student of the Faculty of Law, member of the Faculty of Law Student Council, participant in the student hosting club "Konferans", and Denis Atrokhov, a student of the Faculty of Computer Science and Electronics, recipient of the university's personal scholarship.
The Vitebsk State Technological University was represented by third-year students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics Vladislav Uholev and Kirill Ogurchenok, who are laureates and prize winners of various international competitions and festivals, such as: "Global Asia" in Beijing, "Musical Express-2021" (Rostov-on-Don), Moscow's "Za mechtoy", "Mechtay s Muzykatoff", and others.
Milana Alekseeva represented the Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University as a fourth-year student of the General Medicine faculty and a winner of the literary competition of the military-patriotic club. She has scientific publications on cardiology, public health, and healthcare, as well as other accomplishments.
Four contestants represented the Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov. Third-year law faculty student Anastasiya Shugalei is the winner of the republican video contest “Legal Workshop – 2023” in the category “Passport – It’s Important!” and the winner of the university competition for grace and artistic mastery “Miss VSU-2023”. Student Anna Perkhalskaya of the pedagogical faculty has also secured numerous victories. Among them are the V International Dance Project Dream Dance Fest and the national festival-competition of youth creativity in the Vitebsk Region “Fire of Youth Talents”. Also representing this university were students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies Alexey Perkhalsky and Aleksandra Kolkova.
Representing the Vitebsk State Order of the Badge of Honour Veterinary Academy were second-year student Viktoria Romanovets and Aleksandra Shapurova. Both are active participants in various university projects and competitions.
Veronika Yukhnovets represented the Vitebsk branch of the International University “MITSO”. She is a student of the Humanities Faculty and holds the first-degree laureate title at the international vocal competition “Golden Lyre”, the international competition “Starfall”, and other events.
Over the course of several hours, the students competed in various challenges, including a self-presentation, a public speaking contest where they spoke about their chosen professions, and a creative round in which they introduced themselves and showcased their talents.
By the end of the competition, second place was shared by Anastasiya Shugalei and Alexey Perkhalsky, and third place went to Veronika Yukhnovets and Kirill Ogurchenok. In the final of the republican competition, the Vitebsk Region will be represented by the winners of the regional stage.
