Miory Regional Executive Committee

The country’s first regional Alley of Unity has been opened in the northern capital.

The event took place within the framework of the large-scale republican campaign "Symbol of Unity – 2023", organized by the ROO "Patriots of Belarus". Its goal is to consolidate civil society around a unified idea of peace and creation under the symbols of the regions. It facilitates the expression of the identity of various parts of Belarus within a single, cohesive distinctiveness of our state.

The regional Alley of Unity is situated at the venue of the Summer Amphitheater cultural and sports complex: flags of the districts of the Vitebsk region proudly fly on flagpoles in the city center. The solemn ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev, the Presidential Assistant – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Igor Brylo, and heads of the regional, city, and district executive committees.

— This event takes place on the eve of the Day of National Unity – a holiday that underscores the continuity of generations of Belarusians and the involvement of each of us in the fate of our Motherland, — said Alexander Subbotin. — Today, more than ever, the consolidation of society is vital, as ideas of peace and creation are strengthened only through concrete common endeavors. We proudly call ourselves citizens of the Republic of Belarus. At the foundation of the concept of "Belarusian people" lies a profound spiritual brotherhood of all those for whom our generous, beautiful, and kind land has become a native home.

— For several years now, we have been organizing various large-scale campaigns to demonstrate the unity of Belarusians. For instance, in 2021, we assisted agricultural workers in harvesting crops through collective volunteer work. This initiative was recognized at the highest level: the head of state presented us with the "For Spiritual Revival" award, — noted Nikolai Zarubitsky, Chairman of the ROO "Patriots of Belarus". — In 2023, we toured all 118 regions of the country under the banner "We are all a single mechanism", and this autumn we embarked on a similar trip to show each other how diverse and unique we are, while remaining fundamentally united.

The Head of the Oblast and his colleagues from city and district executive committees presented the symbols of the northern oblast and its districts to the participants of the republican car rally that launched in Minsk under the auspices of “Patriots of Belarus”. Following the event, an All-Belarusian Alley of Unity will be established in the capital, where the flags of the country’s districts and cities will be displayed. Visitors will be able to access information about any region and its landmarks online by scanning the corresponding QR code.
