In the project "Question Number One", Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, spoke about growth points for the real sector of the economy in Vitebsk.
The Vitebsk region has a whole petrochemical cluster, a project for deeper oil refining has been completed, and petrochemical specialists are now closely looking into petrochemicals themselves and what can be obtained from oil (namely various chemical compounds used to produce clothing, plastics, etc.). "This is a perspective for the development of the plant," the governor believes.
Alexander Subbotin also noted that Vitebsk has a large hydraulic lift cluster. "Moreover, during these difficult sanction-related times, they are building and handed over another plant for high-tonnage cranes this year. That is, they are developing," the head of the regional executive committee stated.

"We have several water treatment enterprises. Just one small enterprise, which also added another production line this year, has created more than a thousand facilities across the territory of the Russian Federation.
New impetus is also being given to JSC "Vitebskie Kovry". "It seems carpets are already out of fashion, but the enterprise has expanded its lineup and produces bedside mats of various color palettes, they even make carpet paintings that you wouldn't be ashamed to gift at an event of any level. The "Vitebskie Kovry" enterprise has found its niche and is experiencing a rebirth," Alexander Subbotin noted.
