More than 11,000 large families in the region will receive one-time financial assistance for the new school year, covering 22,300 school-age children.

This was reported to «VV» by the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee. The payment amount for each school-age child is 109 rubles 32 kopecks, or 30% of the budget subsistence minimum effective as of August 1, 2023. Please note that applications for such assistance should be submitted to the labor, employment and social protection authorities in accordance with the registration at the place of residence (place of temporary stay) of one of the child’s parents, and in Vitebsk – at the place of study of the child.

Volunteers of the golden age – activists of the TCSON branches – have actively joined the republican campaign “Let's Send Children to School” in the Chashniki district. Each strives to make a meaningful contribution to assisting families in need by purchasing and placing school and stationery supplies into special boxes. Fifteen families have already received gifts prepared by volunteers.

“We plan to provide one-time financial assistance in our district to nearly 290 large families, where more than 600 school-age children are being raised,” said Tatiana Gaponenko, Director of the TCSON. “As of August 18, more than 190 families have received assistance for nearly 400 schoolchildren.”
Maxim and Yulia Klochkova, spouses from the agro-town of Novaya Zarya, are raising four children, three of whom are schoolchildren. The husband works at an agricultural enterprise, and the wife works at a kindergarten. They manage a substantial household, cultivating a plot of land with their own tractor. They are accustomed to relying on themselves, but admit that the financial assistance they have been applying for over the past two years comes very much in handy.

“Nearly 330 rubles is quite a significant amount for us,” says Yulia. “It covered many purchases for the children. Now they are properly dressed and shod, and have all the necessary school supplies – they are ready for the new school year!”
