The XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will take place in Vitebsk, is planned to be held under the slogan "Science – The Future of the Union State", announced Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

– In 2024, the Vitebsk region will host the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. We have another year for preparation, but it can already be said today that we plan to hold it under the slogan "Science – The Future of the Union State", noted Alexander Subbotin. - In other words, we want to emphasize the prospective development of the two states. Most events within the framework of the forum will be dedicated to the development of science and aimed at the youth, who will build our future.

This is the first emphasis. The second key theme of the forum is seen as our common history, without knowledge of which prospective development is impossible. Especially since ancient Polotsk, one of the centers of Slavic culture development, is located in the Vitebsk region. Therefore, we also plan to hold forum events in Vitebsk and Polotsk, where we want to show guests ancient churches and other historical sites.

Thus, at this stage, the concept of the forum looks like this – through history and traditions into the future with science and high technologies.
