The second day of the sports and cultural festival "Vytoki. Step to Olympus" in Glubokoe began with a visit to the district's sports facilities. Representatives of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, the Ministry of Sports, and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee visited the boxing hall, the district children's and youth sports school, and the physical culture and health center.

Guests also visited the square dedicated to famous natives of Glubokoe and the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

At the exhibition-sale "Belarusian Brands", Belarusian enterprises presented their products. An Olympic run began, in which children under the age of 9 participate.

Subbotin: In districts, children can engage in various sports and achieve results

Conditions are being created in the districts of the Vitebsk Region so that children can engage in various sports and achieve results. This was stated by Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, to journalists while visiting the cultural and sports festival "Vytoki" in Glubokoe.

"New facilities are being built in the region, sports halls are opening, sports sections are established in schools, and equipment is being purchased. Conditions are being created so that children—who are our future—can engage in various sports and begin to show results," Alexander Subbotin said.

He added that significant funds are allocated for these purposes. Attention is paid not only to major cities but also to district centers, which are also nurseries for future champions.

The cultural and sports festival "Vytoki. Step to Olympus" brings together people of different interests and ages. The celebration features sports, cultural-historical, and artistic venues, food court and family recreation zones, and a fair for master craftsmen. Numerous workshops and seminars are held. Guests get acquainted with the historical heritage, achievements, and brands of the region, as well as paintings by renowned Belarusian masters. During the day, one can try their hand at various sports in the "Olympic Quest", and in the evening relax at a concert featuring famous artists and at a disco with tracks by top DJs.

In 2023, "Vytoki" hosts six cities of Belarus.
