More than 500 people are participating in the festive labor May Day event "Peace. Labor. May", which is taking place in the 30th Anniversary of Komsomol Park.

The event participants included the administration, labor collectives, educational institutions, public organizations, and residents of the Primorsky District of Vitebsk. Adults and children are engaged in improving the grounds of the 30th Anniversary of Komsomol Park: they are clearing trash and leaves, painting benches, and planting flowers. They are also simply celebrating Labor Day, as numerous interactive zones are operating in the park where everyone can find entertainment to their liking.
– The slogan "Peace. Labor. May" remains relevant to this day. We continue to value peace just as much, which is especially pertinent today; we remember that productive work is the key to the success of our district, city, and country, and May continues to be associated with the holiday of spring and renewal," noted Evgeny Semyonichev, Head of the Administration of the Primorsky District, in his welcome address. – It is no coincidence that the 30th Anniversary of Komsomol Park was chosen as the venue for the Labor Day celebration, as we plan to give it new life. In April, we already installed 50 birdhouses here, which form a real art installation, and we are now continuing the park's improvement works.

The Primorsky District Administration plans to update benches in the park, install trash bins, create small architectural forms, eye-catching art installations, and much more. A complete renovation of the 30th Anniversary of Komsomol Park will take place this summer.

The 30th Anniversary of Komsomol Park was laid out between Maxim Gorky Street and the right bank of the Western Dvina River in the late 1940s by Komsomol members of the KIM Hosiery and Knitwear Factory. It was reconstructed in the 1950s. On an area of 3 hectares, approximately 200 trees and shrubs have been planted, including Canadian and pyramid poplars, common ash, birches, and maple and red maples. The main alley of the park leads to the river beach. In the northern outskirts, the "Komsomolets" Sports Palace was built in the spring of 1968.

The city of oil refiners marked May Day on a grand scale. Events dedicated to Labor Day took place here until late evening. Thanks to a diverse program, every visitor found an activity to suit their interests and preferences.

Representatives of public organizations actively participated in the holiday – the Federation of Trade Unions, the Republican Public Organization "Belaya Rus", BYSM, the Belarusian Union of Women, the Red Cross, and others.

The main events took place in the Park of Culture and Leisure. Here, the most outstanding workers of Novopolotsk were honored, while presentation stands of the city's enterprises, organizations, and educational institutions were operating. Creative and sports venues proved highly popular.

The atmosphere truly inspired and energized everyone. While middle-aged attendees enjoyed the concert, young people were engaged with a profession presentation organized by leading enterprises of the city. The exhibition of decorative and applied arts offered much to explore. Innovative formats in the form of master classes were presented at the venue of the Center for Crafts and Traditional Cultures. Additionally, visitors could enjoy amusement rides, tastings of treats from the local bakery, and other surprises provided by the organizers.

A special attraction for children and teenagers was the area where volunteers assisting homeless animals had gathered. The charity campaign "Be a Friend" was held here, collecting aid for a temporary shelter for abandoned pets. A veterinarian provided on-site consultations for animal lovers. And some homeless animals found their new owners right there on the spot…

And this is absolutely right – kindness, diligence, and compassion always go hand in hand.

The festive May Day event took place in Orsha. The proceedings were attended by trade union activists of the district, led by Oksana Pustošilo, Chairperson of the Orsha District Trade Union Association.

The flash mob "All professions are needed – all professions are important!" was organized by the Miory District Trade Union Association ahead of Labour Day.

The festive events were held in the central park of the regional center – the Park of Victors.

The festival "Park Brings Friends Together" took place at the Cultural and Mass Recreation Complex named after the Soviet Army.

In Polotsk, educational institutions of Polotsk joined the trade union May Day event at Square named after F. Skaryna, including the trade union activists of the medical college headed by the chairman of the student Primary Trade Union Organization (PTO), Yuliya Tyukhlova.
