On Premiums

The financial department of the Miory District Executive Committee informs that from January 1, 2020, the procedure for calculating wages for employees of budgetary organizations and employees equated to them in terms of remuneration has changed. Along with these changes, the structure of wages for employees of budgetary organizations is simplified, while such a form of encouragement as a bonus remains.

Funds are allocated for premium payments, provided for in the respective budgets, in the amount of 5% of the sum of employees' salaries. The amounts, procedure, and conditions for paying premiums are determined in accordance with the regulations approved by the heads of budgetary organizations (clause 3 of Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of January 18, 2019 No. 27).

Important change! Since 2020, funds saved from the wage fund (e.g., due to vacancies, periods of temporary disability, social leave, etc.) cannot be used for bonus payments. Saved funds can only be directed to incentive and compensatory payments, the amount of which is determined by the head of the budgetary organization.

Funds in the amount of 5% of the sum of their salaries are also directed to the remuneration of employees of budgetary organizations financed from extra-budgetary funds from income-generating activities of the budgetary organization (para. 2 of the Instructions on the procedure and conditions of remuneration, approved by the resolution of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection dated April 3, 2019, No. 13).
