The district's agriculture specializes in the development of meat and dairy cattle breeding, fodder production, and the cultivation of grain, leguminous, and technical crops.

The share of animal husbandry in the gross agricultural output for 2025 is 54.2%, and crop production is 45.8%.

For January-June 2026, cattle production amounted to 1160.3 tons (82.9% compared to 2025).

The average daily weight gain of cattle for January-June was 407 g (+2 g compared to 2025).

The gross milk yield for January-June was 11551.9 tons (104.1% compared to the 2025 level). Milk yield per cow was 1726 kg (+477 kg compared to 2025), and milk commerciality was 86.8% (+3.2% compared to 2025).

As of July 1, 2026, the cattle population was 20,759 heads, including 6,177 cows.

In January-May 2026, agricultural organizations of the district received 16,126 thousand rubles in revenue from the sale of products, goods, works, and services (122.3% compared to 2025), and obtained 9,535 thousand rubles in net profit (in 2025 – 7,100 thousand rubles).

In January-June 2026, organizations of the agro-industrial complex produced agricultural products at comparable prices totaling 23.4 million rubles, which is 106.3% of the 2025 level.
